Strathfield Library is no longer just a place for books. It has been transformed into a place for collaboration, innovation and social and cultural engagement.
Comments
In 2004 Strathfield Council built a new library on the site of 65-67 Rochester St. Strathfield Council reviewed the current library with a view to redeveloping the interior to maximise space and usage for the community. This would provide gallery space with digital wall, spaces for both quiet and group study, versatile space for multipurpose use to enhance social engagement, age appropriate spaces, multimedia space and tech lab, collection spaces and lounge areas. Integrate a wide range of access to service and resources through facility, service points and online connectivity, and be integral to the “smart city” concept of Council.
