Comments
Payinthi (Kaurna meaning ‘good prospects’) is City of Prospect’s new library & civic hub. Opened in October 2019 as an iconic public building in the resurgent Prospect Road café & retail precinct. The building sought to deliberately put the library at the centre of Council operations in the thriving heart of the city, providing a beautiful public space of some 1600m2 (from 3200m2) for the community to enjoy.
The $18M dollar project was funded through a variety of innovative means. The build was managed by City of Prospect’s project team together with architects JPE Design Studio and builders Kennett Constructions.
