Comments
This exciting hub for learning, innovation and creativity spans 2 floors of The Exchange building in Darling Square. There’s a makerspace and children’s area and plenty of space to read, work and study, free wifi, public computers and meeting rooms for hire.
The Ideas Lab on level 1 is a dedicated makerspace and multipurpose room to create, invent or tinker. The program of hands-on workshops features 3D printers, robotics and electronics to help startups and curious makers upskill, share knowledge and network.
There’s also a colourful children’s area and weekly bilingual rhymetime and storytime sessions.
Members can borrow from over 30,000 items in the library including books, DVDs, magazines, video game consoles, and robotic and electronic kits. There’s a large collection of Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai language books, DVDs and music CDs. Local and international Chinese newspapers and magazines are available to read in the branch. A returns chute is available on the ground floor of the building, for easy access outside of library operating hours.
